The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I figured I would give a place for those of us that have some of the Taylor Schrade and Smith & Wesson knives to call home. I didn't feel like the Taylor Brand Schrades belonged in the same group as the USA built ones. So here is a place to show what you have. Of course, if you have some USA built ones that you want to post here, we certainly won't complain.

That's a couple of nice ones, John. Thanks Billy, for the nice comments -- I like them, although I can't say I ever saw a knife that I didn't like !! LOL
I really like that series and always thought about getting the trappers, but I never have. They look good.
This is the Taylor Brands knife site.
Schrade made a buzzsaw trapper. I believe it was the 94OT. I have had a 96OT. It's a carpenter's dream. The straight pin and tweezers are great for removing splinters. Is the BSA one from China or is it USA? It would be hard to lose the Schrade with the orange handle.

My Remington (Camillus made) Trapper and my Schrade BSA 100th Aniv. Buzz Saw Trapper. My only worry about the Schrade made knife is the use of 400 series Stainless Steel. Could you be a little more specific! Still the saw blade instead of the spay and the tweezers and straight pin are pretty cool. That orange bone is really really bright!
As the is a Taylor Brands, I'm 100% sure it was made in China. However it is not stated anywhere on the knife or on the collector tin. There may have been a "china" sticker on the cellophane that wrapped the tin.
Schrade recently came out with another buzzsaw in what looks like a sawcut brown delrin. Google "old timer buzzsaw trapper" and it will come up. They give the steel as "400 series" whatever that is!

Tobias, I heard that when a salesman says "400 series" they mean it could be any of the following; all the 420's or all the 440's. I think it's 420SJ.
