I don't have a lot of Bear & Son knives, but I like the ones I have. Here is a pic of my favorite one. This one is a 4 1/8"  torched stag Trapper with the titanium coated blades. The handle have some of the thickest slabs of stag I've ever seen on a slip joint pocket knife.

Bear also uses a dated dotting system, which is stamped on the blade, to help collectors determine the year the knife was manufactured.

This is the reason I am interested in Bear & Son Cutlery.

Bear is unique because they make their knives in-house.  Other knife manufactures have parts made elsewhere and shipped to them for assembly.  Bear makes their knives in the Bear shop.  To insure the quality of their knives they build blanking dies, do their own heat treating, grinding, assembly and hand finish each knife.  They are committed to make them in America and to make them affordable.  You can see their complete line at bearandsoncutlery.com.  You will be impressed.  I was.

This is a Bear OPS Model MC-100-DS4-P.

Bear Ops spear point stiletto with s30v steel blade and checkered Cocobolo handles. This knife is smooth opening with duel thumb studs so it can open right or left handed. A great USA made knife
