by the way some great pictures of butterflys ! When i visited St Louis one place I went to was what they call the Butterfly house. it is filled with flowers and all kinds of butterflys ..it was quite amazing and a lot of fun to walk through! I have never seen anything like that.

Humming birds are here , well everywhere. In fact so bad when the weather warms don't wear red! They will dive bomb you continuously!

We have Humming birds all summer but in the fall, when they migrate south, we have them by the hundreds. We put out a bunch of liquid feeders. They drink gallons a day. I have a picture somewhere, that has about 100 Humming birds around one feeder. They really put on a show.

I would like to see those pic's of the Hummers....Never seen that many....saw a dozen or so one summer at my aunts...across the street from her a lady had a blooming Mimosa tree and they were having a wonderful time with the nectar from its flowers....

My wife was a camera nut, she took so many pictures. I now have several large plastic boxes of pictures. If I come across the picture I'll post it for you. I wish I could post it up easy, for Ya'll.

Humming birds are beautiful, they drink so much because they expend so much energy just flying

Those little birds migrate as far as larger species do. They are simply amazing birds. By putting out feeders we get to view them a lot more often. I guess, that feeding them is helpful. I know I was told by a biologist not to feed them too long in the fall. They must leave at a certain time, in order to migrate on time and not let the cold weather catch them.

Camping with my Grandson last night out on the farm. Saw Deer, Coon, Rabbit, Squirrel. He made the fires without a single match. He slept in his Wilderness shelter until about midnight and then came to the tent. We used knives many times in Camp.

Wow, that's great. Camping with the Grand children is something special.

That is great Ken!

Cool tent but the next tent I buy will be tall enough for me to stand up in. I have to crawl out the low ones....lol

I agree Robert, I did get a "Big Mike" Deer blind that is 80" tall and I can stand up in it and draw a Compound Bow.  But the tent we camped in, I had to crawl in and out of, I would much rather step in and out like you said. LOL We are getting old, I guess.

I just bought a small sun shelter that is about 3ft high and 7 feet long.  No doubt my old bones will give me a little grief as I enter and leave it.

My wife refuses to go camping so we tend to rent a cottage when we head to the lake and we will be doing that next week. Lots of  fishing and hiking in the near future.  This year's destination is Crooked Lake near Dowagiac, Michigan.  We shall see.
