Anyone seen this happen before?? Fungus Amongus ?? Any advice welcome

Here is the situation- I have a beautiful matched set (serial # 072) of  Case XX 100th Anniversary  6207 SS Mini trappers with 1889-1989 tang stamps  and Case XX Tested Centennial blade etch-- Great so far, right ? Here is the problem- The red jigged bone is fine-- However, the goldstone has developed this nasty green tinge on the inside of the handle on the obverse side only which has also affected the brass pins- I have seen celluloid handles gas, but as this is on the inside of the handle it has me stumped- Has not spread  and has not affected the blades or anything else-Any clues or remedies ??

Could be electrolysis ?

with brass pins, steel liner  I dont know what Goldstone is but if metalic pigment is involved a path of least resistance could happen. On boats in salt water I have seen electrolysis do funny things.

Maybe you need to set the knife on a pc of lead (joking kinda )

Contact Case customer service and show them the pics.

DOH !! Thanks Data-- I  own a lot of Case Classics and forgot that dealing with Case is a little different when it comes to regular Case knives ( Non Case Classic knives)-- Even celluloids -- Thanks for the reminder
