Nice Stag folding hunter! I had the 77 series a while back but ended up trading it for a Case 10 Dot. Any pictures of the front of the knife and the tang stamp?
I have several Union Cutlery and Ka-Bar Rigging Knives. Used to have the Fixed blade with the Fid but never owned the Muti Tool with the set. Any intrest in selling or trading?

just picked up my first ka bar today at ranger surplus, the 1232, and i love it! came hair popping sharp in the box

Currently, I own the following:

UNION RAZOR CO., TIDOUETTE  sun fish (ca. 1902-1909)

KA-BAR, UNION CUTLERY CO. OLEAN , NY single blade folding hunter (ca. 1927-1930)

KA-BAR, UNION CUTLERY CO. OLEAN , NY single blade cokebottle locking folding hunter (with thumb release, ca. 1927-1930)

I am currently looking for a visual reference of TANG STAMPS and SHIELD VARIATIONS from the 1902-1951 era.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated!!

While out antiquing with my wife we came across this KA-BAR. Never seen one like it.Hollow aluminum handle, screw on end w/rubber washer. A bit a research found that it was made between 1926 and the start of WWII. It has a patent date of 1926 stamped on it .

Unique knife Phil

That surely is a one of kind type Ka Bar and the first one I have seen like that!
