I am going to Scotland on holiday soon and will be staying close ,though not in, this castle .

Just thought if any of you good folks have Scottish blood you may be interested in the pic.

Anyone know which castle it is ??

Scot's seem to be very rare in Nevada !!

Glad it's of interest Steve .

Many of my family (Clan Hannah?) came into America possibly 1700's maybe through Baltimore with many settling in Western Kentucky

I'm a Cajun with Scottish blood, now that's rare.

By golly Robert that is probably very rare! You one of a kind!

No Scottish blood....but I did leave some blood in Scotland and some Scotland in my blood.

I spent 2 years as a Mormon Missionary in Scotland and it kept part of my heart when I went home. Been back for a few visits and it always feels a little like home.

Don't know what castle that is exactly. But it's a nice one. Mostly looks to be intact as well.

Yes, the Castle that John showed of "our clan" was in need of serious repair.

English/Scot from my Maternal Grandmother (Wagstaff) (WWII war bride). Married my 8th generation German immigrant Grandfather (Turner).

It is a wonderful landscape.

The castle is Eilean Donan Alexander , it was a ruin after being knocked about by government warships after the first Jacobite rebellion . It was restored in the early twentieth century by the wonderfully named Lieutenant-Colonel John Macrae-Gilstrap .

You can have a virtual tour of the castle here,
