Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

So here we are 2015 and we need a knife!!!!  Again, I don't like to just choose one and say this is it.  This is OUR community knife not my personal knife.

As with last year I want 125.00 or below in your hand.  We only run 50 so they need to be in a knife companies production line up we can tie into and make the knife our own.  Not all companies will do this, but most of them will work with us.

There have been a lot of questions about doing a Fixed Blade this year, I am all for it but we need 50 commitments.  So lets talk it through, what do you think?????

Jan, if the pattern would be something different than normal then I suspect you're right. On the other hand customising scales, an etch and small details like that are not all that big of a problem for companies.

There are plenty of custom makers that would be overjoyed with an order of 50 small fixed blades to our spec.

Remember these people are in it to make a living from selling knives. Any knife they sell makes them money.

And yes, Queen has provided for iKC in the past and that's great. However in Dutch we have a saying. It's about investing in stock normally but it works for a lot of situations.

"Results gained in the past are no garantee for the future."

Alexander,

I am also awaiting Bark Rivers response.

Yes this would be the third year of having Queen produce our knife, each with a different and distinct tang.

I would love to be able to approach all makers and promise 250 made, giving me the opportunity to widen your choices.  Companies willing to work with us at a 50-100 knife range, not just stamp our name on the blade but actually make it unique to iKC, are rare.  A company does not make too much out of a run like that.

Well we have the response from Bark River, they will only well to a distributor.  I do appreciate that as distributors rely on the manufacture to create knives for them to sell.  Hess is likely to work with us but I don't see a knife in their line up that fits what we were looking at.

Alexander,

There may be a time where I am willing to attempt the custom maker line again but the wounds are still a little raw.  That is actually the one time I feel as though I let iKC down.  Even though we ended up with a knife distinctive to us and with the help of friends, on time.  It still was not the knife I originally sold in good faith

That wasn't your fault and it is still a sore spot! Understandable bout the dealer deal. I'm still up for the Barlow but could be persuaded into the right knife at the right price.
miss jan that was not the falt on your part it was the other way around.it seems that the barlo is hitten it hard I'm in

hey max!!   CSCC is a great knife... if you collect them .. do a little reading first.as the history is great!...SCHRADE HISTORY!!

.. ..one of my favorite pieces they make .. would be the RINGTURN for sunday carrier!..the most least offensive knife i know..

here are folks Max at church with this knife ... "alll, pete, look, you turn the rings and the blades just come out!".. -  then their REVERSE GUNSTOCK.. is a beast!!!!

YUP MAX.club knife or not i would look into it.

BUT!!- like  i said i have gotten my CSCC CLUB knives cheaper then the same knife from their production line!!..

if we have an IKC CSCC RING TURN..I AM IN!!..  and CSCC is the only company i know of right now that produces a ring turn knife.  before them i had to hunt down vintage....

Jan I understand that. But at the same time it's a little paranoid. Just because one maker wasn't worth your trust doesn't mean the 500+ other ones aren't either.

???  Would Queen put a wharncliffe in a frame like this for us  ???

I want a barlow

Me too!

I would also like to see a Stag Handled Sod Buster in 52100 or S30 v, but am open to other Steels too.
