Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Schrade made very few knives with Blue Bone handles. As far as I know, there was a Special Edition Set of 5 knives and their 100th Anniversary Cigar Box set...very few of which made it in to production. My fondness for blue bone was one of the motivating factors to branch out to other manufacturers. For the first knives to be posted in this group I'll have to go with 2 Schrades that Herman Williams re-handled for me.

Schrade 152 Sharpfinger

Schrade 156OT Lit'l Finger

One of my favorite knives, Blue Bone or not is the GEC French Kate. This particular knife has been on my watch list for a long time and I was very happy to add it to my collection.

GEC #28 French Kate in Blue Evening Fishnet...you gotta love the jigging on this one.

And, even though this is a forum for knives, no discussion about *Blue* would be complete without a salute to a knife collector that is no longer with us...one of the best Blues guitarists ever...Stevie Ray Vaughn. (after all.... his music cut like a knife and he does have a blue shirt on)

I've got a couple of his albums...I know he wrote One Burbon, One Scotch and One Beer that George Thorogood covered. I saw Hooker Jr. play his dad's music at a bar once. That was a darn good night. I've been to about 10 Thorogood concerts since 1974. I remember when the Sax player had red hair instead of gray.

Yup .. I saw Foghat play warm-up for BTO back in the winter of '75. Five young GI's road trippen' into NYC for the week-end. None of us knew Foghat @ the time. They went on to ROCK !! I still own 4~5 pcs of their vinyl.

.

(: kinda dates us :)
