Latest and Greatest...

So what's your latest Case Adventure? Today I went out with my son for his 19th birthday. We hit a couple of antique places and came out with a couple of Case Doctors knives and some display cases, not "case" but neat none the less..

Here's a shot of the doctors knives..His has the flag shield with gray bone and mine is a smooth natural bone 2 blade.

Those are nice Andy! Good find.

I don't have "Case Adventures" like that, but I was lucky to have a Case forum member contact me with a few Canoes I wanted to get. So I guess it was a "Case adventure from my computer chair"? LOL!

Here's a picture of the display cases we found as well. Paid $15 each, stand alone or hang on the wall with magnetic closures to keep the cover closed. I figured I'd update the backing and fill it with sharp pointy cutting things.

Thanks Andy, I like it a lot, have finally got to the point where I can open it one handed. Here is a photo with the blade open, along with it's stablemate, Russlock in "Gum Fuddy" handle (otherwise known as "Rough Black"), w/ clip blade. The drop point almost looks too big for the handle when open, believe me, when I close this knife I do so very carefully. It's kinda hard due to the size of the frame to close the knife and get your fingers out of the way, and that drop point is SHARP.

Thanks Craig. I think I previously posted both on the Case Fans Group. They are an interesting frame if nothing else, I think that is why they are so popular. Case offers way more handle options in the Russlock frame than the Seahorse Whittler, so that alone is a testament to their popularity. I find them to be difficult for pocket carry though, because of the lever which to me feels weird in the pocket, (it's pokey in the pocket!!), so I always carry them in a sheath. They are a real conversation starter too, most non-collectors have never seen such a different looking pocket knife, so I like to carry them for that reason too.

My son and I attended a gun/knife show over the weekend. We were checking out the knives and inquired some prices and went on about the rest of the show. We came back to one of the first tables we had stopped at and I decided to go ahead and pick up a Case mini copperlock family brands 1st production run. I paid the gentlemen and continued to look at other knives he had. Within a few minutes another man approached and said he was back to purchase the knife that I had just acquired. He looked at me and asked if I'd consider selling it and offered me my money back so I obliged and bought the other knife I was looking at. I suppose fate decided which knife I was supposed to pick up yesterday! Above is the picture of the one I brought home, a Case mini copperlock, "Case Brothers" line.
