Nagle's the man store was celebrating its 35th year in business is Gowanda, York in 1954. My bet is this knife was contracted as an ad knife or give away promotional time between 1947 and 1954 by Gutman Cutlery.

Nagles would've celebrated their 25th during WW II and this type of thing would not have been made during the war.

I'm basing this on the worn tang stamp and the known time that the store was open. Nagles was a store that sold clothing to men.

I DO NOT KNOW IF THERE IS A CONNECTION

There was a Pa. Nagle that actually was knife related
