Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello all!

I recently came across two different "commemorative" Case knives and I was curious to know if anyone can tell me anything about them. The first one is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm knife, supposedly 1 in a series of 1,000. The other is a Nolan Ryan commemorative Case knife, in honor of his 300th win, it is supposedly 1 in a series of 300. Both are in the original boxes, and as best I can tell have never been used.

Jan,

I added a few pictures of the two knives. Hope they help you out a bit. I’m just interested to know what I have my hands on. Appreciate any help! Thanks in advance!

Matt

Lets start with the Nolan Ryan

Case XX B6254 SS Trapper Knife Nolan Ryan Texas Rangers Collectors Series 300th. Win. AND Limited to Only 300 Made....this is # 58 (i think I cannot read it clearly) of 300.  I saw where Buzz Parker had sold one and he had this to say

The Nolan Ryan baseball card shown, which originally came with this knife, is also included to the winning bidder.A great memory I have of Nolan Ryan is when Robin Ventura, the present day manager of the Chicago White Sox, charged the mound after Nolan Ryan hit him with a pitch, and Nolan Ryan, being at least 15 years older than Robin Ventura, put Ventura in a headlock and gave him about 5 or 6 punches to the head.

1990 Case XX "PRESERVING FREEDOM" GREEN BONE TRAPPER #BG6254. It is to commemorate OPERATION DESERT SHIELD and OPERATION DESERT STORM It is #151 out of 1000. On the main blade it has "SPIRIT OF FREEDOM" and on the other "OPERATION DESERT SHIELD * 1990-91 and OPERATION DESERT STORM *** 1991. On the bottom of the lid it has an eagle and two stars and says "AMERICANS DON'T BURN THE FLAG".

I cannot see the numbers on this one but if you compare The BG6254 on the tang they should match. If not, tell me what your says

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
