I have no idea who he is either, but that one is amazing Dennis.

Thanks Tim.  Customizing involves the ability to choose just the right material.  He dun good on this one!!   I just wish I knew something about him.  Mel customized this one in March of 2021.  Somebody has to know him .... though can't find any presence on social media sites or the knife forums I frequent.

Seahorse #57 just added to the 3-blade whittler collection.  It’s a 2022 model customized with pāua abalone and rippled green abalone shell covers.  A little too glitzy?  Nah, I don't think so!!

Simply Beautiful Dennis.

Added some Mexican Blanket micarta to this seahorse yesterday.

Outstanding Andy!!!  Did you do this for someone .... or for one of yours?

Okay, here's a new one that perplexes me.  Picked up this 2010 model at a good price.  While it didn't come with a box, it was purported to be a gray jigged bone model.  I already have a 2010 gray jigged bone and it has the same red shield as this one.  To the best of my knowledge, the only 2010 seahorse models to have the red shield were the gray bone ones.  As you can see, the covers on it hardly look like gray bone .... it's a seahorse of a different color!  So, am thinking that either the dye didn't take as well on this one as on others ... or there was a slight mix up at the factory.  Frankly, I don't care ... as it is a uniquely different one for the seahorse collection!

And, here is my other 2010 gray bone for comparison.

Ver interesting comparison.  Crazy how the dye can take differently.  It almost looks like the burnt gray bone they did a couple years ago.  The red shields are one of my favorites.

I actually love the look of it, Dennis.

Reminds me of old weathered barn wood.

Thanks Andy and J.J.  Exactly why I wanted it for the collection ... it's unique look.  And I like the red shields too!!

Heres one I rehandled in multi dyed box elder and added filework and stippling in out and all about.
