Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Can't believe we are entering a another decade. I hope everyone has a great new year.  As I open up a new iKC calendar, thought it would be a great idea to choose a knife a month to showcase.  Here's my knife of the month for January (I wonder what yours might be?!).  This is the last knife I purchased in 2019.  It's a utility / hunter by TK Steingass - spalted hackberry handle with a 4.5" 1095 blade with hamon.

Very nice Dennis. For a while there I thought maybe you had over slept today....this late in the day for the monthly roll out is a bit unusal. Keep it cool brother, August is just a mere 30 days away.

By the way...how is it that you have a knife whose scales always match the calendar color sceme? I mean I have a lot of knives, but I don't have that many! LoL!!

Just moving ever so slowly this year .... and this heat isn't doing me any favors!

August and it is HOT.  So ... let’s go with a hot knife.  This is my most recent acquisition.  2024 lime green barn board jigged seahorse.  BUT ... it has been made even better with hand fired covers and engraved/scrolled bolsters by Don Rodgers.  Posted larger pics of this beauty in the Case Fans group.   And don't forget .... National Knife Day is August 24th.  Mark your calendars ... I already marked mine!!!!!

Nice burnt scrolled pony Dennis!

That sure is pretty and my favorite pattern to boot!

Obviously mine too Jan!!

September ... and am already a week or so into my winter prep.  Age is rapidly taking its toll, as everything is taking longer and longer to do!  Won't be long until I need to start my winter prep in July!!!

Here's my Viper Cutlery "Hug" with black stonewashed blade and blackened bronze handle with starburst etching.  A hefty slipjoint for sure .... but I just can't help liking it!!

NICE!

You never disappoint with your selection.  I really like the black stonewash look.  Looks great as always!

Officially starting the last quarter of the year and it won’t be long before the snowflakes start falling ... well, at least here!  Been many an October when I had to wear a winter coat to my annual wellness check and the trick or treaters froze their behinds on their quest for candy!

Anyway, here is one of my very special knives.  The 2011 iKC community knife ... a GEC Tidioute 72 mini lock back hunter with Indian Choffee jigged bone covers.  It was a wonderfully thoughtful gift from iKC member Andy Moon.

That's a real looker Dennis! !

Oh well done Dennis...a triumph for this year's October viewing!

And of course, DLKG just had to in on the act with his annual pumkin carving - what a hoot!

November ... and was considering displaying one of my doctor’s knives, since I will be going in for another surgery this month.  Then, as I opened my knife chest, this LionSteel Dom in brushed copper caught my eye.  It was an exclusive production for Collector Knives.  So, decided it would adorn this month’s calendar page.  Besides, no real cutting in my next surgery .... just a scope and laser going through my plumbing into one of my kidneys to blast a huge bolder that set up home there!!
