I can find no references to the type of carver Geppetto would have used to create the young boy Ponochio.  I did find pic of Geppetto with his knife...More interesting I found the designs on how to build your own little boy lir detector

Roy,

That would be a nice blade configuration for a 62 easy pocket

Soooo, is anyone building a puppet???  How about the Geppetto clock?
Jan, First day of middle school and high school for my two kids. I might consider trading one or both of them in for a nice quiet puppet by the end of the week! Just kidding of course!

Tom,

ROFL, So you think it will take the whole week?  Don't worry too much about it, by mid year they will stop again.

Is it out yet?
Not yet Robert but I can't wait to see it
I'd bet that they're trying to run all of the Castros before the Geppettos come out. I am curious too. Maybe GEC is coming out with a line of wood carving chisels! Or chainsaws to make totem poles? I never seem to guess the right pattern!!!
I think a traditional whittler is the ticket. They already have a few whittlers out, but not the one for me, I need a good one though. I'm stoked at the plans though, I really think GEC will do well with anything they produce, but I would love to see some new frames.
Yep, they will run the Castros while they are tooled to do them, and then maybe that traditional whittler we are  all wishing for
I'm up for the trad whittler too. That way I can't sharpen a few sticks for our camping story!
Maybe Geppetto will show his face next week?

I'd love to see him soon, I think that we could become good friends. : )

I'd like to see GEC do something spectacular for Christmas!!!
