I hace no experience with the knives, but the material is very durable and not too heavy.

I've not purchased one yet but have seen them advertised. because they are made from recycled material they would seem to be a good value. I sure like the price. If blade is as durable as other products that could be my next purchase!

I have been using the kitchen knife set with the paperstone handles. They have stayed in new looking condition since I got the set almost a year ago. I use the knives almost daily, multiple times in and out of washing them. They are standing up well, as new!! I have a 112 with the same handles, but haven't used it as much so far. The handle material is a great match for Buck.

I just bought the black build out with the 450 blade and w2as suprised at how light it is..It seems like a really tough material and I think Buck will use the paperstone in a LOT more models in the years to come..

Yes, I have a couple of Bucks with the Paperstone handles and they are champions thus far! I have a Vantage Large and an Odyssey both with Paperstone handles! I also carry and use both knives on a daily basis! As I said earlier I always have two Bucks on me! Pardon the pun!

i picked up a 112 ecolite because i love the 112 and figured it would be cool to have a 112 only a lot lighter but the ecolite was a piece of garbage, the blade would barely snap closed unlike the regular 112 which really really snaps closed. there was side to side play and worst of all there was horrible front to back blade play. I sent it back to buck and all they did was press the side in and mar up the handles including puting a big chip in the handle and sice they pressed the handles the only way you can close it is to push the blade all the way in. Very Very disapointing.

The paperstone material seems cool though, looks pretty neat too, too bad about the knife. I ordered it. These days its best to see the knife in person and then buy it to avoid geting crap knives. Oh well, sometimes you get lucky and get a sweet one.

I bought the small Paperstone Vantage folder and fell in love with it.  The Paperstone in my mind is sort of a variation on Micarta with a rough, cardboard-like texture.  I love the way it feels in my hand, never slippery, even if wet.  Seems very durable.  Has been my EDC much of the past year.

I loved it so much, I ordered the large Paperstone Vantage.  The blade on this one had a lot of side-to-side play and did not open smoothly like the smaller knife.  I sent it back to A. G. Russell Knives.  They exchanged it for another that I am very pleased with.  Neither knife seems to be as well built as my Bucklite 112 that I purchased in 1976.

I meant my Bucklite 112 from 1986. I'm not that old!

Interesting Scott I have long considered the Paperstone. I just was not sure if it was usable. I have a Buck 285 which is a great knife just too lightweight. The blade is perfect but the handle is way to light for the blade. I was concerned the Paperstone might suffer from the same problem!
