The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Hi everyone and welcome to our newest members,
Something we have not talked about lately is new aquisitions. Tell us about your latest and greatest GEC. Donnie bought me both the new 23's in the Beavertail (Worlds greatest husband by the way) He got himself the newest 73 in Primitive bone. THAT is a heck of a nice knife.
What have you gotten lately?
Johnny, that's a great knife, I just wish they would make them with clip point blades. I find those blades a bit of a sticker blade, kinda like a steak knife. I am sure alot of people like it, I just rather a clip point. They put nice clip points on whittlers knives instead of outdoorsman knives. Go figure!
Robert,
They come into Patty's area. They are cleaned and inspected. If it doesn't make the grade it comes off the tray. They are numbered right from the trays. #1 typically stays at the factory
Thanks, Miss Jan, I knew you would know. What handle material is that?
Bark Hippo Ivory
So sweet, what can I say, I'm still loving my first Primitive Bone. I always have questions. When did GEC start with their Primitive Bone and how long do they think it will last? If you don't have time to mess with my questions, tell me to go to heck...lol
Robert,
2007 was the first year for primitive bone. I hope it lasts a while (LOL). Thats a good question for Pat the VMAN, I will make a mental note to ask him at the Blade show.
Thanks Miss Jan, they are so nice.
Jan, those knives are awesome, the PB is the winner, but it's hard to beat.
I actually like the etching on the '06s better. Great job getting an "old" one.
