Hi everyone,

I have 2 knives that I need information about, I will put pics to help.
they are:

1, Frost cutlery, fixed blade with Reddish, Scored, Nickel Silver Pinned,Bone Handles with an appx. 2 1/4" Blade and appx. 6" Over All Length. Nice Handles are Chip/Crack Free with Good Fit & Finnish. Blade is Clean, and Brite. It is Tang Stamped on Front -- Frost Cutlery and the Eagle Trademark and on the Back -- Surgical Steel. It also has a Very Elaborate Etch of a Dog Dragging a Racoon.

2. Schrade First Production Run UH LB5 Lockback Knife

I cannot find any information on either knife.

I would like to know how old they are and what they might be worth and any other info you could give me.

thanx Rick

The Schrade is a Taylor LLC/Chinese made??
Or made in USA??
made in china
Both are worth about 20 bucks.
The Schrade is no older than a few years.
Taylor LLC bought the SCHRADE name after they went under
The quality isn't as good as the made in the USA ones..IMHO

Frost Cutlery is very low end quality wise
They are sold in liquor stores and tourist shops here i the US
It is famous for it's colored wood handles
I think it is called layered pakka wood?
Not much collector value
If your lucky you may get 25 bucks for the Frost knife on EBAY

The above is MY OPINION only
I don't want some hard core Frost Cutlery knife collector coming in here all mad!!!! ;)

Taylor LLC buying the Schrade name is kinda controversial
I found out the hard way
****NEW Schrade Knife for Sale************
Then you get it and find out is made in China
Even though there is a USA flag on the box???? crazy..almost borderline fraudulent
Happens every day....
yeah, I agree...I guess if it's not worth anything, at least it looks good
Use the Schrade and give us a "review"
I have had 2 chinese Schrades
They came sharp outta the box
The fit and finish was weak though
Like not enough time on the buffer wheel or something

The Frost does look kinda good for a Frost!!......
It might be an OLDER Frost??
Those are worth a little more
Richard,
I cant tell if you're considering buying these, or you're the e-bay seller.

Dont know much about the Frost, otherv than that's what's calle a "Coon Hunter". Never seen one that is just simply Frost Cuttlery. Usually the ones fron the older Frost were of Pakistani origin, though that one doesnt seem to be marked.

The Schrade "Bear Paw" can be picked up from Smoky Muntain Knife Works for about $15.00, with a 3 or more price of $12.00. It was in the last catalog. http://www.smkw.com/webapp/eCommerce/product.jsp?Mode=Text&Sear...
I don't think this was made in pakistan...no mention on the blade anywy.

Rick
Unknown on the Frost but Trent is correct on the Schrade and price would be as noted $12-20 bucks. Also agree with Trent that the Taylor Schrade made in China is inferior to the US made Schrades.
Do you own these or are you looking to purchase them?
I spoke to a Frost Cutlery service rep. and she told me the knife was about 15 years old and worth bout $50...not bad I guess
no, I ended the auction because I decided to keep it
Put the knife on your "watch list"
Maybe another one like it will pop up on EBAY

I have a bunch of knives I keep a pulse on the market value for..............
