Anyone have any?

I was told by Boker the parts are stamped out in China and the shipped to Germany to be assembled and finished. It gives them a mid price point.

One of these days, in between buying my German Bokers (and if I start on GECs), I need to get a couple, like this one - medium stockman black jigged bone $21-$22........

Here's a couple more.....

If I remember what I heard right, the material is shipped to China from Germany and punched out as Craig said, then they are shipped back to Germany to be assembled. I have 3 or 4 of these hybrids. They sell for between $10.00 to $20.00 less than the Boker's that are manufactured completely in Germany. I find the hybrid's that I have to be good knives. The blade stamping is also different along with the bolsters.

There's the "all German" Bokers which are 100% German. The Hybrids are stamped out in China and assembled and finished in Germany. Then there are the all Chinese Bokers;  Magnum Bonsai. It's supposed to give them three general pocket knife price points.

Tang stamps are different like Billy said. Some dealers actually list them as "Boker Hybrid".

They look good in the pictures.

As I always say; to have a choice is good.

Billy, do you have pictures of those Hybrids? I didn't see them in your Boker album.

Photos would be appreciated:)

It should have a tang stamp like the ones above. 100% German Bokers have "H.BOKER & CO SOLINGEN" or "BOKER SOLINGEN STAINLESS"  with shields that have "SOLINGEN". The Hybrids have "GERMANY" on the shields.

Craig,

That really is some useful news that I did not know.  I appreciate the how to tell them apart information, it helps.

Here are some pics.I was wrong, I only have a couple of those hybrids.
