Just picked this up. Being shipped to me. Buck vanguard gut hook. 1968 date stamp. Can't find any more info on it as far as value or how rare a 68 might be. Any ideas?

This was right around the time that Buck was beginning to ship internationally. I would guess its a valuable knife but I don't have a good reference for it.

Well the Vanguard was first issued in 1992 so a 1968 version is so rare it's none existent, sorry. The Buck Zipper (gut hook version) was first issued in 1993, your knife just made it out of the factory with no date stamp.
