I made a batch of deer jerky today. And it is really good. I make it from ground meat using a jerky shooter. It comes out in a flat strip about the size of a strip of bacon. Then into the dehydrator for about eight hours. I have seven trays for the hehydrator and can do three pounds of meat at a time.

Sounds great Charles. Thats not the way I do it but sounds real good any way. I am glad you are making good use of your deer meat. I try make everything from ground meat, sausage, jerky, A1 steaks for grilling, roast and gravy meat. We enjoy our Venison!
6000, wow that is great Anita!

Cool! Ive just recently made a whole lot of African biltong, chilli bites and biltong crumble, and biltong leaves from lamb, since we have 6000 head of sheep on farm, and all of the places to hunt deer around here are kept secret! yummo! :)
He keeps this up Robert and we will have to visit!
