Regardless of what knife you carry in your front pocket, back pocket, or sheath, do you carry a little knife in your jeans coin pocket? I ALWAYS have a small knife in my coin pocket for the little jobs and manicuring work, and also for when there might be "sheeple" around.  Right now my coin pocket buddy is the Boker 8288 in Rosewood and carbon steel.

I know that is one set back on some of these small knives, you don't necessarily have that locking mechanism in place. I don't think it is a a big deal if you are just doing small jobs. I wonder though, how easy it is to forget what you are working with (small knife, no locking feature)and have that blade close on your finger?

As much as i like my GECs the knife i carry in my coin pocket is my Spyderco Squeak, i believe it is the perfect coin pocket EDC, it is lightweight, clips in securely, comes shaving sharp out of the box and its speed of one handed deployment can hardly be beaten by a knife this small, it is a non locking knife, but because of the deep finger choil that does not matter as your forefinger acts as a stop.

I recommend the superb review on You Tube by Stefan Schmalhaus..

Not just small knives, Steve.  Gotten bit with larger sized slipjoints that I simply got careless with.

I've been lucky, so far. I've never had a problem with non-locking knives closing on me. Now, if  I'm using a knife for hunting I want a lockback, or better, a fixed blade.

Here's what's ridin' in my coin pocket right now.......but I need to get one in CV/Carbon steel!

That's a nice lookin' P'nut and a really great looking picture of it, Craig.

I have nary a 'nut in my collection. Hmm?

You need one......except, once you get one, you want more.

Nice peanut!
I carry my case ,mini trapper in a side draw sheath and a Case peanut in my coin pocket.

Good for you! Welcome to the 'nut club!

Modified Case Sod Buster Jr rides in my coin pocket at work.  You might find about anything there during "my time".  A Sway Back Jack or Peanut are frequent fliers.

No more nuts for me! 33 Stockman all the way! LOL!

I'm nuts enough for both of us.

Just what kind of nuts are we talking about?  Because I've been the other kind of nuts for most of my like!
