Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I am a hot sauce addict! My favorite is generally Tabasco. But there are others that I like too. Gunshot Sauce I love, though it isn't really hot....even their "Hot" one. But it has great taste, and can use it for marinade, BBQ sauce, everything. I also have been trying out Ole Smokey Tennessee Moonshine Hot Sause. Once again not really hot to me, but very good. I always use Tabasco as the baseline for hotness.

Do you have a favorite?

My sister got back from Arizona the other day. She brought back, as usual, some hot sauce for me. Arizona Hot Sauce, made with the Bhut Jolokia pepper. I don't think these sauces are the super hot grades. They are hot and have a good flavor, but not too hot to eat.

Frank has hot sauce?

If I have enough hot peppers this summer, I may make a batch of homemade sauce. It's been a while since I made some so I really want to do a few bottles. I need to show the girls how it's done, before I get where I can't, show them.

Is it called "Ragin' Cajun Sauce"? LOL!

You bet, put too much and you'll be "Ragin"...lol

Sounds like my kind of sauce! LOL!

No matter what I try, I always come back to Tabasco.

Tabasco, is a great hot sauce. If you're ever in south Louisiana, you need to go to Avery's Island and the Jungle Garden that Mr. Mcllhenny built. It's beautiful and remarkable to say the least. It's also where they grow the Tabasco peppers and where they make the hot sauce.

I got three  I like to use. Tabasco for my eggs, and potatoes. Saracha for adding to my ketchup for fries and special sauces. It is good for a lot of things. I also use La Victorias Salsa Brava for my tacos and Mex food. Love Hot sauce.!

Though not a sauce, sometimes I like just plain old ground Cayenne pepper. Sometimes I like the heat and Cayenne pepper taste without a vinegar taste added.

Speaking of Grinding, I just bought a vintage grinder. No, not for grinding steel blades but for grinding coffee and herbs and spices. It works great. I grow my own Thyme, Basil, Cayenne and Jalapeno peppers. I'm gonna dry them, then grind them, in my new grinder. They should come out like store bought, maybe better.

That's cool Robert! I love the old vintage machines like that! We have an old meat grinder that my grandmother had.
