There is a major recall going on right now for Gerber Bear Gryills Parang Machete's. Please tell anyone you know about it. A very serious situation exist.
Wallmart is taking them back along with other distributors.
This is just a friendly Warning.!

Craig, I'm not sure, I will find out more and post it. If anyone has more info pleased, let us know. A dangerous situation exist.
I am not trying to hurt Gerber or Bear Gryills. I just don't want anyone hurt by a bad production knife.

Gerber makes great knives. Problems can happen to any knife company......and do. It's good to know when there is a problem, especially if it could hurt someone.

Yes, I certainly am not trying to hurt their business. There may be a lot of little people depending on their parents pay checks. If there's a problem lets deal with it and move on. Ford, Chevy and all the other car manufacturers have recalls, it will happen.

I think there is 3 different models that are in recall. That may be all models of the Parang.
