All nice!

I especially like the Single Six with unfluted cylinder. 3 fine Rugers. Make that 6 fine Rugers. Thanks for sharing!

Guy, the unfluted cylinder in the Single Six is the .22 magnum cylinder.  I just leave it in all the time since I have two other pistols that shoot .22 LR.  I have a Ruger Mark II .22 auto and Smith & Wesson Model 317 .22 revolver.

That's a great looking set of revolvers, Charles.

Charles,  (and others) what do you think of the .22mag cartridge?   How would you compare it to the .22 long  and/or other cartridges you have fired?  Would you consider it  a humane varmint stopper?

Tobias, the .22 magnum out of a rifle or longer barreled pistol is a good cartridge.  I think with good shot placement and within 75 yards, it would be capable of taking a coyote.

It isn't suited for very short barrels because it was designed as a rifle cartridge with slow burning powder.  I once ran a penetration test between .22 mag, .22 LR, and .22 short out of short barreled pistols.  The LR penetrated most, the short was second, and the magnum penetrated least.

Although I think that now some ammo companies have developed .22 mag ammo especially for short barrels in the pocket pistols that some carry for self defense.

My cousin has a .22Mag rifle/ with scope and he regularly takes swamp rabbits at 100 yards.

Thanks for the info, Charles.  Very helpful.  I'm looking at it as a possible economical choice for a lever action rifle. The gun restrictions in Chicago/Illinois are so nasty that even after the Supreme court said we could have a pistol it is still practically impossible for a law abiding citizen to get one!  If only it was this hard for the gang-bangers.

I wish it was possible here in the uk to have handguns but alas that right has gone, lovely set of Rugers though.

It is a cliche, but it is so true.  If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns.

i love my single six.and my 44mag,id love to get the 10 mm,if i could just stop buying so many knives.

Well it is so true Charles, at least that is the case here now ,you must look after your rights in the US or you will be the same.
