Nice very Nice......  I like that knife. I like the way the handle is setup. Makes for a very good grip on it. The sheath is made for an exact fit on the blade. I think its a well thought out design. As I'm starting to get into fixed blades...  that looks like a possible contender.  A home run hitter for sure.

yah i have a few cold steels, for the price they are great, i also have the recon scout and trailaster, if you like a bowie style

I always like seeing contemporary production knives here (they're usually more my style than classic pattern pocket knives).  I have the practice version of this knife to fidget with, & I like it, which is why I'm a little surprised to see how pronounced the clip point on this knife actually is -- cool!  I'll admit though that I cut the subhilt thing (is it a guard?  is it a ring? I can't tell) & sanded it down to get it out of the way, I just didn't like it, too small for my finger & just got in the way.

But for years I'd been thinking about picking up the live blade version & taking off the subhilt guard.  Seeing your post reminded me of that, kinda tempted now, again, to do just that!

it is made for a non slip grip when you hold it either upright or stabbing your hand wont move, so if you were to use it for defense your hand wont slide up or down
