This group is still a work in process.
Some great Research and my thanks to the tireless work done by Sue OldsWidow. Check out that index, you just may be there for days! Also her research turned up an old resource that is worth revisiting if you have not seen.
Produced by iKC Member Tobais Gibson its a good reference for collectors: http://apg2k.hegewisch.net/index.html

If chat worked better for me, I think it would be great!

I think....from the Gentleman's side....it would be great. I am always interested in what the ladies think about knives and such. You never know when you might need help vanquishing the Black Furry Monster.
So, it has been proposed that we make the ladies hour on the chat a reality. What do you all think. An all ladies char discussing knives?
Jan...
This is great news. Thanks.
I talked to Chris last week and she said it would be going out this week

This is why I commented about look over your shoulder Case here comes GEC. Having knives made in China will seem like a traitorous move to some of the hardcore Case collectors. These collectors will naturally gravitate to a cutlery like GEC. Can't wait to get my first GEC. I hope it is in the mail.
Clint,
Thanks for the info on the Tecx. Do you know if the decision has been made to force the existing Case Dealers to carry them? I know it raised quite the chatter on the Case Forum when the announcement was made. It is still the reason some of the old Case collectors are saying they will no longer buy from them. Competition and breaking into a new line of knives is a logical reason to produce these in an offshore plant. In my opinion they risk losing more of the traditional buyers if they place them in the independent Case dealers that are asking not to carry them.
At that price point I know we will see them in Sears and Lowes (they carry Case anyway). Will we see them in the mass market, like Walmart?
Please keep us informed as you hear and see more on these and thanks again for always supporting the folks that work so hard both here and abroad to keep us safe
