Billy,
That is sweet. I am a sucker for buffalo horn and a long bolster is a added plus for me
My only Fox-N-Hound to date is the FH-620 Fixed Blade Ulu. The knife is essentially the same knife as the Frost's SteelStag SS7014. (Fox-N-Hound is an SMKW, House brand) Both go for a bout the same price (I think the Fox goes for a buck or two more.) Both have the same blade, same handle material and same sheath. Only difference is the Fox-n-Hound logo etched on the blade and stamped in the sheath.
I admit it. I'm a sucker for this style of short stubby wide belly skinner.
Below: 1) The knife with sheath and package 2) knife in sheath 3$ knife with sheath showing Fox-N-Hound TM.
1 - Very nice packaging complete with a tray style box. Knife and sheath were packaged separately with a protective plastic tip on the knife point. Packaging was plastic bags.
2 - Knife is snug in the sheath but easy to deploy. You can hold it upside down without it falling out. It is in fairly deep but if you're like me, you'd probably still prefer to strap it down. Note it is just a wrap around tube so the backside is rough leather.
3 - If you're not interested in the logo, you can buy essentially the same knife by Steel Stag for about $2 less
