Hey Toby, I'm the same way, the only China made knives I have are Rough Riders. Although, I am looking hard at Mr. AG,'s knives from that country, very well done.

Craig, knife collecting isn't like marriage.  You can collect more than one type of knife and still be faithful to the brand.  I have a very open relationship with my Rough Riders.

Jan, which "first love" are we talking about?? RR was my "first love" the second time around! Let's see, my first true love was a Craftsman Stockman (made by Schrade) around 1974. Then came Case, Buck, Queen, Parker, Boker, Schrade, Camillus, etc., etc.........LOL!

Hi, my name is Craig, and I'm a knifeoholic.

I like Rough Riders, but I usually buy them when funds are low and I have withdrawals. Glad to see you back, Craig. J.J. , pictures?

Jan, got me another "whittlin buddy" to go in my vehicle bag. Already rounded the edges of the scales and I'm considering a mod on the sheepfoot blade to more closely match the wharnie.
Also got s couple of the locking canittlers that were supposed to be tobacco bone, but had a splotchy dye job that left them looking more like appaloosa bone. Took them both because they had character.
Linda's lady leg is tobacco and the toothpicks are orange bone and midnight swirl.

JJ,

Cant wait to see the whittler, what handle lady leg and toothpicks?

Craig,

OMG, well the first step is to admit you have an issue LOL!!  The second step is to buy a GEC!  Nice to see you stretching your legs and it's ok...we all know your first true love was the RR.

Ron, Ain't cheating fun :)

I be afeared that I am cursed by cold steel fever. Going on 40 years now. Longer if you count the Scout knife that I loved when I was a scout in the 50's.

Man, what is it about these things?

Hi guys. Been away.....on a, uh.....vision quest?  Well, what happened was I realized I couldn't be faithful to RRs! I kept saying that I wasn't going to spend the higher prices on other knives......I lied. I'm spending higher prices on other brands of knives. Yes that's right, I'm cheating on RR. There, I said it.

I just knew it was going to happen one day. I just have too much love to spread around. I might be back here from time to time, but you'll also find me at the......Boker group (!), and  the........GEC group!!

What have I done, what have I done?  Will you ever forgive me?
