Comment by Tobias Gibson on November 22, 2011 at 13:14: Did you get them form SMKW. They'll take care of you right away. If not, if the reseller is a jerk give them a call anyway. Should be worth a try and getting a replacement.

To be fair, I had blades on Case knife that were just as bad that i got through amazon. The Case factory, had me mail it to them and tey fixed it right up. I'm pretty sure SMKW does the same thing for their RR line, so long as it isn't obvious abuse on the owners part that led to the issue.

I also know the KYknives guy on ebay (zix) will refund and replace without question.

Bought a Stockman Stoneworx with Abalone and synthstone inlays. The blades rub terribly, even to the point where the smaller blades won't close without help (the spey blade) and the sheepsfoot won't close without first opening the spey blade and then closing the sheepsfoot first.

I'm already communicating with the seller about a replacement/refund. This knife should never have left the factory like this, and after they'd taken pictures for e-bay they should've known it wasn't fit to be sold.'

Comment by Tobias Gibson on November 20, 2011 at 20:10: As I mentioned, some aren't RR. They don't make Navajas or Bartenders in the WSB. Four are U.S. Classics. (Whittler, small barlow, bartender and sleeveboard 1/2 whittler with a wharncliffe.)

The other knife with the corkscrew is a really interesting knife I believe is for cigar smokers. Has a small pin and a pairs of scissors. Also not a RR. Someone gave me a Frost Trapper. Its there until I get around buying the RR. (The Frost ain't too bad however, especially for free!) The little hawkbill was a place holder made by Rite Edge until RR came out with a real Hawk!

The rest are 440 tested razor sharp Rough Riders. (14 out of 22)

It is just the large sunfish (RR120) The other two (RR 116 and RR 139) are fine. RR 120 just has issues walking and talking The stay and play are exceptional. This is one of the very early production models and I bought it as "new old stock" so that could explain some of the problems. May have been stored improperly. Either that or it is just a QC issue with some of the older, first run RRs.

I've got the baby Sunfish, large Sunfish and Elephant Toenail in the white smooth bone (WSB). These are some of the earlier knives. The small pen blade is lacking some snap but all in all, very nice. the two sunfish have the "Always Ready" blade etch. I'm making an effort to collect all of the WSB I can from RR. And for the patterns RR doesn't have, I'm turning to other makers. Still waiting for a five inch toothpick in WSB by RR. I think I'm going to need to start a petition!
