Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Brothers and sisters all worked at Schrade. One uncle ran the Custom/Prototype/Quality control division, another Uncle was a Custom Knife and prototype-Master Cutler and Mom worked Qality control for a lot of years. Mom had 37 years with the company and one uncle had 40 years with Schrade.

I did not know if it was a good idea or not to say something about an ebay item on here, would it be good to say something again in the future if I see a good deal on a knife ? I looked later and someone had another knife like these listed as a buy it now for $ 89.

Comment by Ricky L McConnell on November 3, 2013 at 8:39: Ken , from what I have read on these, the numbers on the other bolster tell the date. The characters are SW and I cannot make out what the third one is, but the fourth character is a number and is supposed to be the last digit of the year. Yours would be 1980. On the schrade collectors site, there is a nice brochure about these knives under IXL. Let me know if you can't find it.
