I was able to play with a Celtic pattern and then throw it on the laser marker real quick.  I marked the locking tabs on my Leatherman Super Tool 300.  It was a replacement for my original ST a decade ago.

This was a quick trial I did just to see....No real programming was done with this.  Just a quick photo from my phone onto the app for the laser and then burned away.

I recently purchased a dual diode laser, the Atomstak Pro10  (10W output power).  I'm hoping to transition to engraving on knife handles and even on a blade if I can get the settings dialed in.

Is that stainless steel? For more help with dialing in your setting check out https://www.lasertips.org/

20W fiber laser.  Adjusted the speed, power and frequency to optimize the marking for this material.

That looks pretty good, it looks like you used a diode laser

I recently got a CRKT Squid as a beater EDC knife.  Well, I seem to have a hard time leaving much of anything alone..

So I laser marked a little graphic of Jörmungandr (the midgard serpent) on one side of the knife.

I had laser marked  the blade lock release tabs on an original Leatherman SuperTool several years ago.  I took some pictures, but unfortunately, I seem to have lost those.  The handle of the tool broke and I sent it back under warranty for repair, and they sent me the newly released SuperTool 300.  So I no longer have the original one that I customized a little.

I found the files that I used to create the laser marking programs, so perhaps I can make aa new file or two and mark a new blade or two.
