Master Cutlery. Ahhh yes. Some interesting stuff, and some cool looking pieces, but that is where the good ends. Brands like MTech, TacForce and Master USA are commonly known as Mall Ninja Knives. They are very cheap to buy (I have seen their folders go for 2 for $5 at shows) and the quality reflects the price. The fixed blade knives from them can be "okay", but I would not trust a folder of theirs if my life depended on it.
The knife you have there is a blatant counterfeit of a design made by Blackjack Knives in the late 80's, early 90's. More specifically, Pat Crawford and Mike Stewart's design. They were originally made in Seki City, Japan for Blackjack Knives before they moved operations to Effingham Illinois. Your knife is a copy of the Blackmoor Dirk. Both the Tartan and Blackmoor Dirks were designed to overcome a few flaws in the Fairbairn/Sykes fighting knife design...namely the weak point (prone to snapping off) and the weakness at the tang and handle. I would say this is probably worth about $25 or so, if that. If it was the real deal, you'd be looking at about $300-$400 in good condition.
Ronald...can you please get a clearer shot of the tang stamp??? As well as the other side? Thanks!
