Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The result of our collaboration with the internationally awarded Finnish knife maker Jukka Hankala. A knife where every part, every angle play a role in the complete context. Not even the inside of the knive leaves unprocessed,. In his modern, minimalistic design where the details will appear first after a closer look he brings the Finnish knife design to a new level. Greg,  I am just waiting for these to become available I wish I could say it was anything to do with my efforts !!

If you wanted the custom version then it is available here,

https://www.lamnia.com/en/p/8555/knives-and-folding-knives/folding-...

The price is more than I can afford however , hence the wait for the "cooking "version .

Wow that is nice. Do you intend to do a smaller version? Depending on a price - I might be interested

OMG that is clean and a beauty.  The elmax is a great steel coming in at at 59-60 RC in most knives available with it. Less likely to corrode and more likely to hold an edge with daily use.  I am with you John, I think I feel the need to own one!

Jeff I have never had an Elmax knife so I don't know what it's like to sharpen .

I reprofiled my EnZo Birk in D2 after I had bought it , now that was a long job it must have taken 5/6 hours . I wished that I hadn't started at one point . I found a post on a knife forum which had a quote from the designer of the knife and he said it should have a 24 degree scandi and a 32 degree secondary . As I am not that bright I thought that I would put it on the Edge Pro and get the angles just right . I am glad I did now , it is very sharp but I wouldn't want to do it again EVER !!

Wow..that steel, depending on the heat treating, could be very hard ! (wondering) have you ever tried to sharpen one?
