"I have an original Remington bullet knife, model 1253, that needs repair.  It is a single blade lockback, but the blade does not lock in the open position.  Any suggestions as to a competent repair shop that could fix it?"

George R Naugle replied to Scott King's discussion What's your favorite old knife? in the group Vintage American Knives
"New favorite old knife to me.  I just aquired this one, an original Remington bullet knife.  It is model 1253, a lockback that was reputed to be Al Capone's favorite.  It is near mint in condition."
