What's Your Favorite Wood for Knife Handles?

There is so many different types of wood for knife handles now days I was wondering if there is one that's favored more than all the rest. My favorite is Dessert Ironwood but there is alot of others that are so nice.

I think my favorite wood right now is a black palm for a handle.  Do like a nice burl though.

i am not sure if its my favorite.. but i recently used Bamboo on a small bird and trout knife, and it came out great! looked great when buffed out!

Luca, you must love GEC knives with all the different wood handles they use on their traditional folders. I know I do. I wish we had a little history and more info on each type.

It's amazing that our hobby has so many variations of a simple knife. I guess that's what keeps us going..lol
