Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

WHAT WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE IF IKC HELD A KNIFE EVENT??????

Sometimes you go to a knife show, 70 tables of knives to look at people to meet...Great folks to talk knives with

Sometimes you go to knife event, a knife show with things like the cutting challenges and a bit of forging.

If we had the opportunity to plan a knife event what would it be like?  No answer is too small or too large, help me brain storm this out!

If you were going to plan a knife event....what would be the plan, what would you include?

Seems a get to gether would be hard, as so many are from all over. I would like that though if I could get to it. Maybe something on line here at the forum. Maybe like participating members could put 10 or more knives on a post - put the posts together - with asking prices - and make it like an online show. I'm just not to sure - this would take a lot of thought and planning.

I personally have not been to a lot of shows. I would want to see an area set up where folks could sit down and share their stories and show off their knives and such (meet and greet). I think a couple of door prizes would be great. I think a suggestion box for what knife people want to see more of would be nice. Maybe a few knife related games would be cool. A guest register would be nice, to collect names and addresses of those attending. As far as who I would invite. I would invite some custom knife makers, some of the larger knife companies, any type of knife enthusiast, and other knife related product suppliers (ie custom leather, make your own knife kits, knife care products, display cases, etc.). I think I would also have something for the kids (make a wooden knife project, knife safety training, etc.) and for wives who are not interested in knives (ie jewelry, candles, etc.)  I think it would also be nice to have some snack vendors with things like beef jerky, kettle corn, peanuts, etc.) Oh, and I think I forgot one thing, the KNIVES, lots of knives. Just a few suggestion.
