Does anyone know the rarity of these compared to other blade marked WWII fighters?

Sorry my pic is inverted. I'm new here.:(

Really need to see the pic.,because it's probably ROBESON MKII pattern. Not ROBINSON.In which case the blued blade issue in excellent condition with 90% or so of the bluing left,in the original sheath is scarce & pretty valuable, last time I checked.I don't  stay as currant on this info as I did at one time.

Now there is a ROBINSON knife Co. in Bradford (I think they're still there) that has assembled & made parts for CASE.Mostly during WWII.The V44 was one & who knows what else? I don't recall ever seeing anything like you're speaking of  marked with they're own name. Yours is more than likely a ROBESON.

Ya, sorry Jim ! I spelled it wrong. It's a mk2. Says Robeson Sureedge on one side, and usn Mark 11 on th other.Sheath is a reg.navy composite issue.

Blade looks Parked to me.
Just wondering if I should be preparing to pay more than normal.

Well there are a lot of variables involved here and I'm not familiar with the present market. What's Hot & whats Not etc. I do know the market has changed and prices now are...shall we say inflated!

I would have to say the 1st. concern would be condition,of course, like any other knife.

2nd. on these as I recall is the sheath. With the gray plastic. I think they call it an M8,being the least valuable and the most valuable being a one piece leather marked "U.S.N.",which is about 5 times as valuable. All the rest are 2 piece leather & fall somewhere in between!

Probably the best way to get a realistic idea would be to look at SOLD examples on the bay.

My actual answer to your question, shootin' from the hip would be,not really.

However exceptional pieces bring exceptional prices.

John, from what I can find out there were 5 marking variations of the  Robeson MK 2-Most of these were parkerized, some blued, and a few with bright blade finish--Does it have a  red spacer below the crossguard( early WWII) any markings on the crossguard (late WW II) ?? Any markings on the sheath & what is the pommel material--Aluminum,, a few were wood, etc.??

I don't have numbers for the MK-2 Robeson , but I know that the MK-3 Robeson  was the 2nd rarest made-36,000 made. Only Boker was rarer making 31,000.

Some of the variations are rarer than others, but ballpark pricing is $100-$250, depending on condition, and some of the variations-- From what I read, ones with the Shuredge tang were fairly rare. Hope this helps some. If you can figure out how to post some good pics, I will try to help further.

Thankyou all
