IKC auction Remington R1063 Jack Knife

I've been offline awhile, sorry about that, but naturally one of the first things I do when back is to bid on a pocket knife. Won the bidding on this old Remington Jack here on IKC, it has great jigged bone handles and it is in decent condition considering how sharpened-down the blades are,(though still very usable). The seller Bryan took better photos than I did, so I'll post those here instead of mine. It is a very solid knife, even after being well-used and oft-sharpened. I would rate the pull at a firm 8+, so whoever made it used heavy duty springs, The handles are in perfect shape, real pocket wear and no cracks anywhere. I saw several other nearly identical looking to this from Camillus, Case and even Boker, but in my opinion this one has a Camillus look to it. It also looks like it was probably made during the 30's-40's, as those similar knives I found were made during that same time period, if any of you have any ideas of its age please pipe up.

This one is my Christmas present to myself, and I'll be putting it into my EDC rotation. I mean it's so hand worn it would be a shame to just put it onto a shelf. Happy holidays everyone!

The tang reads "Remington UFC" inside a circle with "Made In USA" wrapped around that. R 1063 is also stamped on the back side of the same blade. Can't find a lot of info on it so I have no idea of its age or era. Still sharp & snappy though whatever the age.

I like that a well loved EDC will now become some else's well loved EDC.  Every maker will tell you, use it!!!  Very few are meant to live on a shelf or in a safe, although I am one of the safe owners LOL.  Lookng forward to the adventure of your using this one Syd
