Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This years GAW knife is an oldie but not an easily found knife.  A Parker Seki Japan Christmas knife, this is only the 2nd time I have seen one. It features the manger scene, Luke 2:11 and a seasonal message from the Parkers on the blade. A lockback with "Surgical Steel"  never used and appears to have original edge.  It was purchased out of a Parker Collection.

Entry is easy and I hope it brings a smile to a face or two among us.  Come to this discussion and remark with ANYTHING 2020 that made you smile or grateful.

My best friend was scheduled to travel from Texas to East TN to visit earlier in the year. After everyone had been banned from travel, we both figured it'd be a few years till we could schedule some time  that worked out again. When a momentary ban was lifted, she made a fast decision to jump in the car and go. We finally got to spend some wonderful porchin' chill time, and enjoy some good quality time together after 6 years. That was a piece of heaven for both of us. We both grew up in the country and now she has a new traditional that she picked from the ones we looked through together. So many smiles we both enjoyed that will carries us till we can get together again. :) Counting blessings.

Grateful that I only had one cancer surgery in 2020.  More importantly, was able to time it so that it didn't hinder me down as we ended winter and entered the spring/summer yard work season ... and before this Covid crap got out of control!!!!

I'm grateful for my family and friends, my knife collecting clubs and forums.  I am also grateful for winning the Halloween contest right here on iKc.  The package that Jan sent me put a great smile on my face :)

Please do not enter me into this contest since I won the Halloween one.

MERRY CHRISTMAS iKc.  Thank you Jan for all that you do for all of us and I'm sure others that you are around.  Now, come on 2021 ! ! !

Very grateful for two grandsons who live downstairs and bring Christmas joy every time they pop up. As we walk through the house we tread carefully because yesterday the boys extended the electric train from the dining room into the living room!

Also grateful for the GAW Jan created because her choice of entry rules means we can take a few minutes to read the replies and see how we are all blessed in one way or another. Thanks for reminding us Jan!

Dennis

We too are grateful you made it through Ricky!

I'm grateful to have survived this COVID thing. It hit four of us at work at the same time. Two are still in the hospital!

Dennis,

Just one surgery can be very good news and we are oh so grateful that you made it before the covid lockdowns!

Jan we actually heard about Covid on our car radio when we returned to Port Canaveral on the last day of the Cruise in Jan of  2020.  Two days later when we got home Memphis Tennessee Tv was reporting 2 cases of Covid or at that time they were calling it the CHINEESE VIRUS. They were speculating it was spread by Mardi-gras in New Orleans because a group had been to the Celebration and some had contacted it!    Their were also some cases in Williamson County in Tn.  Never did we think it would be around this long. This year has been one to remember. I  also believe  it will be a great year to salt back a  New Tang Stamp Case xx Cutlery knife.  I ordered me one of those Merry Christmas 2020 Case knives from SMKW.  They are out of stock now but the number is 26776 maybe it will be a Diamond some Day!!  Merry Christmas to one and All and Prayers you have a Blessed 2021. .

Last Jan we were able to do a 14 day Cruise out of Port Canaveral Florida.  We visited several Islands that I wanted to visit for a long time. One of the islands was St.Kitts.  I didn't really know much about St.Kitts but we got a private tour of the island with a Gentleman named Royston He gave us a wonderful tour and toward the last of the Day we Stopped at Black Rocks.  It was amazing to feel the power of the Waves of the Atlantic breaking on the Volcanic rocks.  I could share more. But will say because of Covid we probably will never be able to do another 14 day Cruise.  I was Blessed beyond measure for being able to go on this NOW once in a life time Cruise on the Carnival Breeze.

I do not think Mardi Gras did us any favors LOL. I wanted one of those from SMKW but was not quick enough
