Well this is exciting!  A cotton sampler.  Not something you see everyday, but folks tend to love them

Great! A very traditional Cotton Sampler, a very good price also. This knife should be another winner, "Congrats"!

Thanks Jan!  My email to Ms. Coutney Daniels has been sent!  Best Regards

I'm glad everyone seems to like the Cotton King, I have been wanting to do this pattern for years.

It's a pattern you don't see too often and it's a wonderful looking knife.

It may not be as high class in it's ways of work, but it's a beauty of a pattern and you guys did a wonderful job of bringing it back up.

Good to hear Bill.  How about you Johnny, a cotton sampler n your future?

Just because you all know I am an information junkie...I just had to know why the blade was configured with that center choil.  So here it is, the long blade was used to remove a peice of cotton from the inner bale

                      and

the long, straight choil of the blade was often used to roll the fibers of cotton against something like a wooden post or something similar to check for quality.

So has anyone received on yet?  I cant wait to hear about it (mailed my check today)

Hi Jan,  yes !  Yesterday I  received  my Cotton King.  Thank you Courtney for the prompt, professional transaction!   I have quite a few Cotton Samplers in my collection.  This is one of the largest.  It is stout, well made, and good looking.  It has every indication that it could work hard through several owners life times if so applied.  Count me as a  very happy new owner of his first Tuna Valley piece.  Best regards.
