How about some thoughts, feelings, and pictures of the #33 Conductor?

I'm getting an itching feeling for one.

Craig,

They are a great little knife! I wish that GEC would do one with split springs in a 3 blade whittler. I thought that I had one in Buffalo too but I may be mistaken - couldn't find a picture on file though. They are a tough little knife.

Thanks for the pictures! Beautiful knives Tom!!

Okay I think that did it. I was going to order my first GEC this week, a Cocobolo Sleeveboard, but now I think I'm going to put a Northfield #33 on the order too! In Burnt Sienna Jigged Bone:)

Wedge back in stag. With a bail...
(That would be sweet.)

Does the bail on these bother anyone? On other forums a few guys say it drives them nuts if they want a Northfield. It doesn't bother me. I kinda like it....it looks classy to me. And as far as use, I have my Boker Camp Knife and it has a bail on the FRONT end and It doesn't bother me when in use.

Tom,

Whats the handle on the third one down?  They are all beauties!

Craig,

I cant wait to hear about how you like them

Jan, I haven't ordered my first GEC yet (Tuesday night!), but my first GEC order keeps getting bigger! LOL! Now I'm thinking about putting off until next month some Bokers I was going to order this week! Good grief:/

Jan,

I think it is the same one that Craig is going to order, the Burnt Sienna Jigged Bone, just a bit darker than Goldenrod. The lighting in my picture is not as good as it could be, sorry for that.

Here's the Burnt Sienna Jigged Bone I'm going to get.....in pictures around and about on the net it looks as though the jigging is like old peach seed bone.

Craig,

You are exactly correct. My bad. It is the Antique Yellow Bone that I have. But I do like the Burnt Sienna Bone that you are looking at...excellent choice! Sorry for the mixup!

Ctaig, bail looks good on this knife. I like it.

Tom,

No problem!  There's so many knives, handles, and endless details I don't know how anyone keeps it all straight unless they have a photographic memory! After about 35 years of collecting, and now that I'm 62 and an official old fart, I can't remember half of what I used to know:/

J.J.,

I kinda think the bail makes it look old timey and classy. In fact if I look at them long enough with the bail, and then look at some without the bail, it looks like something is missing! LOL!

Craig,

GEC keeps rolling out new patterns every month or two and it IS hard to keep up with them all. Have you considered the #68 White Owls and the #62 Easy Pocket Courthouse Whittlers - if you like a relatively small knife? I really like both of these.
