Lots of things to do in the spring, one is knowing when to plant and when to wait.
May 10th is my last frost date, passed down from my grandmother. She said you plant something
that comes up before then, you will be covering it up! Pop he said oh just use the almanac to plant and
weed and you will be okay.
This year I started the lettuce early. We had a spell of hot weather and that is all
I needed for good germination.
Such fun it is to grow your own veggies and so Healthy for you too.
Hope everyone joins me in Gardening this year and post their pictures of veggies and flowers and such.
Lettuce is 4 days old, the cages is to keep my dog from digging...lol

Violets blooming, going to try them in salad tomorrow.

Looking good! It seems to be a good year for slugs here too.
The Skeeters don't want me outside either.
Well, Cass planted a bunch of Hostas. A couple were fairly expensive ones. The Deer ate them. Since when do Deer eat Hostas?? That was an expensive salad for the Deer. The Rat Finks.
Looks good Sue!
They all look good folks, we are starting to harvest some veggies. Tomatoes, peppers, beans and squash.
Finally got all the mulch out of the driveway. It took over a month. Well, I'm old and broken down. Actually our next door neighbor/ friend moved the last of it. We get to park the car where's it's supposed to be.....yay.
Pretty stuff, there Miss Sue. I plant a lot of veggies in plastic buckets but not near as pretty as yours. You must be a New Orleans Saints Fan, with your nice Lillies.
I agree, nothing like a fresh tomato!
