Chris Sparks. Back in the 1990's their were several Tang Stamps put out by Case as SFO.  I would believe yours probably came through SMKW.    https://www.iguide.net/708261_item_1995_case_xx_bradford_sc6308_ss_...      The link above is the only thing i could find on possible value.  Remember this is probably a DEALER you would be communicating with!!!  My advice to EVERYONE is be sure you like what you collect and collect what you like, because it might be a while before you can sell them and make a profit. Or you can be like Me & sell some at a loss!!

I agree Syd Carr !  I see many what I believe are WAY over priced Knives on Freebay!  Especially in the last Year. I guess the dealers are trying to get some of that Government $$$$.  You DO  need to get the Books and study the pattern your collecting .  Do this before you hit the Buy it Now Button or place a final bid on a Going too cheap knife. Their are all sorts of traps on freebay.  From Shill Bidders to out right liars set out to  take your $$$.  I am sure some miss labeled or termed rare knives are honest mistakes but others are just to deceive the Novice buyers. Bottom line be sure before you put your money down you know what your buying. OH and my favorite ebay line is " Some have told me this is a Fantasy, Fake Reproduction, but others including Majors Dealers have said it is the real thing.

If it's an ebay listing a knife bought yesterday at Ace Hardware is described as "vintage" or "old", especially by professional sellers, don't fall for it. Do some research with experts like those here before hitting that buy button. When buying knives online you MUST know what you are looking at to not get snookered.

why would someone say that a Case 1995 red bone RSC 6308 SS Whittler be rare? I'm new at collecting these.

I use this data base a great deal when looking to do research on Case products. KnifeDB.com is the only Case reference that attempts to show knives with their correct boxes. I Currently have identified 1,008 different Case factory boxes, and over 11,400 knives have a box linked to their listing. Remember that individual boxes did not become common until the 1980's.
