It's a new shield to be used only on Short Run Knives is what I was told.

Hopefully yours won't be too far behind. Both of the knives that came in the mail today far exceeded my expectations. Our new Club knife is a real winner! As is this new '08 Barlow I won in an Ebay auction last week.

In my opinion this years iKC Community knife, the Geppetto Whittler, is much nicer than last years knife. Don't get me wrong, last years knife was really a nice knife. It's just that this whittler is on a whole other level of quality. Perhaps that's because it's a Northfield and last years knife was a Tidioute?

In any event, GEC has really raised the bar with their latest efforts and I couldn't be happier with all of their knives that I have received in this last month. That would also include the Whancliffe Trapper in the pic below that was produced by GEC for another knife forum just last month. Keep up the great work GEC!
