Schrade Collectors

Many people collected Schrade knives over the years. Almost everyone had to have a Schrade. Much has changed, but they still make Schrade Knives and now they are coming out with new steels and new handle materials.

So old fan or new collector, Lets talk about Schrade!

If you guys really like the 194 OT then you should check out the Half Moon Trappers and Pinch Lock Backs made by Canal Street Cutlery. You can view them on www.droppointhunter.com

Ken,

I love the 194OT so much, I have 2. Just something about a small liner lock.

Comment by Tom Chase on November 19, 2013 at 20:41
Ken,

Technically that is called a "Liner Lock" knife.

Here is a set of Schrade knives that I am extremely proud to own, since it is a tribute to WW II and I am a Veteran (not of WW II) as well.  In addition this set was given to my Step-Dad as a gift from Schrade.

World War II Tribute, 7 Knife Set

US Army- D-Day Invasion

US Navy- Battle of Midway

US Army Air Force- Bombing of Germany

US Marine Corps- Iwo Jima US Coast Guard- Amphibious Landings

US Merchant Marines- Murmanski Run

Pearl Harbor Bowie

This set was produced in 1991 with only 500 sets being produced.  There were 1000 Pearl Harbor Bowies produced.  Multiple sets were given to Schrade Employees and "DOC", my Step Dad received his as a gift.  He worked for Schrade for 40+ years and retired in 2001.  In fact my Schrade Room is dedicated in Memory of him and I even had Custom Signs made to commemorate him as well as Schrade Walden and Schrade Cutlery. I will post a picture of the set in my photos for your review!

Well that explains a lot about your collection Tom. Your family and the company are so intertwined that I am sure one or more of your family has touched every Schrade I have.
