Richard Schuchman ,  try this first.   Take some gun patches and clean off all that buffing compound in the track , oil and repeat !  Take an old t-shirt and wrap it around the blade.  Work that joint back and forth a thousand times while watching TV. It is a little more difficult with a liner lock.  I do it with one left hand and the knife tween my thighs. Work that knife , rock that blade back and forth.  There is a guy that does knife repairs and custom work on iKC .  I don't want to break any iKC rules.

Looks like he did a great job Ken. I love both the blades but that Spey by its self looks awesome. I've always liked the spey too. Reminds me of the Case Classic Jumbo Trappers. Thanks for sharing. Here's a pic of my 23 in a Autumn setting.

Does your friend work on other people's knives, too? I have the 23LL beavertail and it's a nail breaker. I bought a pouch, which I like, but its cumbersome for edc.

I sent these two  knives to a friend in CA for repair and customizing.  The 2016ish Queen Mountain Man Lock-back jammed the first time I opened it.  My friend fixed it and it opens so much more smoothly now.  I had the main skinner blade removed on this 2020 Northfield  #23 Antique Autumn Natural jigged bone Pioneer Trapper knife.  I love the phat spey blade on this knife.  I use the spey as the main blade on all of my GEC#23 Pioneer Trapper knives. The pull on the single blade Northfield custom is now a 5-6 pull.  The nail nick is on the right side of the blade , so this is the perfect EDC knife for one arm left hand me.

I ate wild pig pork chops and The best sausage sold at the Piggy Wiggly   last night.  I have always eaten my food too fast all my life. I used my GEC#35 B&S ebony-wood  knife and I slowly  enjoyed my food. I have  two GEC#35 B&S Autumn leaf jigged knives coming in the mail.  My neighbor freaked out over my knife.  I told him if both knives look the same , I will give him one. The dark one look more like burnt sierra jigged , I seen some with one white edges and some have really bright colors.   I was drunk , first time in six months.  I hope they both come in different.  I have the best neighbors.  Baw-ha !  Ha !  Ha !  Ha !  Ha !

GEC has plenty of Bovine Cattle Bone ,now.   All the GEC#23 & #23LL parts have been made.  Two blade #23 Trapper Northfields are being assembled right now. The bone is being processed and applies to the frames.  The #23LL single blade trappers are next.   Antique Autumn Natural bones and Redtail jigged bone with bullets shield !   The #74 Mustang run with four choices will be short with 200 pieces each. A GEC#19 Little Rattler 2.81" closed run with six choices (400 each NOT CONFIRMED) yet

Great News !   A Pennsylvania Federal Judge has just ruled that scumbag P.A. Governor Tom Wolf is unconstitutional .   Tom Wolf will try to appeal , he has been embarrassed .   Not one "China Virus" death in Titusville , PA.   This ruling will protect W.R. CASE XX/Zippo and Great Eastern Cutlery from Tom Wolf tyranny. I have faith in our small businesses to do the right thing to protect their employees and their customers ! I joined "Knife Rights" last month. ($32 yearly)  "Essential Tools , Essential Rights !"
