the M-724 replace the MC-1 in 2000  the same year Cammillius and Schrade closed their doors- the Government need the knives a.s.a.p.. and luckily folks at GSA knew the long history of Colonial Knife and our ability to military contract knives-hence they called me and asked if I'd be interested in filling their back log of order for the MC-1

of course I said "Yes"
