We are the EveryDay Carriers!

We here at the EDC Club are the side of the knife hobby who are the "Users." We are the EveryDay Carriers. Yes, we probably have one or two stuck back either due to sentimental reasons, or the knife was one of those- "just couldn't say no" when we first saw it and now it is a trophy knife in our possession, BUT, for the most part, we are users.

It's hard for us to imagine spending hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars on knives - then stashing them away and not putting them to task, like they were made for. We help knives fulfill their destiny! Yes, they get scratched, tips broken off, and lost, but sitting there collecting dust, all the while its screaming to be carried and used- not our knives.

Granted we may rotate our EDC's in and out based on what we are doing for the day, or our moods, and may even retire one every now and then, but use them we do and are proud of it!

Yes, I agree! :-)

Yep, I'm sure that I have posted pics of the Teal several times before. I was just drawing a size comparison to your tiny Trapper.

I have posted pics of the Digicam Para 2 before, also.

You have to admit. They are both pretty darn photogenic, don't ya think?

I think I've seen that one before Ron, but worth seeing again! That's a neat little knife!

I like the camo Para 2 cool!

Craig, that's just about the same size as my Lakota Teal -- a knife I have carried for almost 40 years! It is also 2.5" closed with a blade whose cutting edge is only 1 5/8". And even though I EDC a Spyderco Para 2 this little guy easily handles roughly 75% of all my daily tasks. Perhaps, like yours, even more?

So, I definitely know the value of a smallish knife!

Here are some shots of my Teal...

A true workhorse. Pictured here with my Digicam Para 2...

This trio comprise the heart of my daily carry...

I will occasionally rotate my Para 2, as I own 4 variations, but the Teal and the Zebralight are ALWAYS in their designated pockets when I leave my abode -- Without exception! There is also always a Victorinox Champ Plus riding on my belt in a pouch as well as a Victorinox Classic on my keyring in my pocket. That IS my EDC!

Thanks guys!! :)

Ron, It's 2 1/2" closed. Bigger than a Victorinox Classic, but just a bit smaller than a Case Peanut. It feels bigger than it's size would indicate. Small knives like this do about 95% of what I need a knife for everyday. For the other 5% I'm getting a Case Swayback Gent.

Well, it's purdy. But, I just have to ask...How tiny is it?

Comment by Jess Cobb on August 24, 2013 at 5:12

Just the right size

Brian, I bet that's a true story, Knives talk, and that knife conveyed that story to you.  Poor calves.
