We're having Sac-au-Lait, Courtbouillon for supper tonight. It's a real treat for us.
Back to the salads!
Last night for the BDay boy we did steak and Baked Potatoes. A friend went to the Maytag Ranch in CO and brought us back a steak. The best I have ever eaten!
From their website..
Our cattle are born and raised on Maytag Mountain Ranch’s 2,953 acres of lush and green natural grasses, and the cattle enjoy warm days and cool nights. An intensive rotational grazing system ensures our cattle have plenty of fresh grass to eat; our pastures are never artificially fertilized and our cattle drink the spring water that flows on the Ranch. We never use hormones or antibiotics, and the entire Ranch is certified Organic. Our cattle are not taken to the feedlot to be “finished.” Instead they fatten on natural grass, every day of their lives — the way nature intended. Our system is better for your health… Maytag Mountain Ranch’s famous grass fed beef has higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids, which lower the risk of heart disease, and which may reduce the risk of cancer. It is also lower in total fat than beef from conventionally raised (corn finished) cattle, resulting in fewer calories. Best of all, it tastes great!
Stephen, we have cooked that menu, many times on the 4th of July. We love that meal and cook it often.
it's hambugers and hot dogs on the grill the all american food for the 4th....
Well, I had to cook a rack of pork ribs and a half dozen chicken leg quarters, out side on the pit, while everyone else was cooking the side dishes, inside. I think theres something wrong with this set up...Oh well, Pawpaw can do it...lol I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. God Bless America!
We cheated today. Just too hot to cook, so we hit a local BBQ shack. Ribs, fried chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, slaw, greens, butter beans, ect...
I won't have to eat again for a while.
handmaking a big pizza!
Just burgers and hot dogs for about 40 people.
