What's your favourite custom "Tactical" folder. (you don't have to actually own it)

Allright guys. Yesterday I realised that I have a bunch of lovely knives that I carry every day. But the ONE tactical folder (one hand opening, Pocket clip) that I have is rather plain (even if it's very good). Which it the Mcusta Tactility.

Now I'd like to save up for a nice Handmade/custom tactical folder. But first I'd like all you guys' input on what's out there. Maybe I'll get a new idea ot something. (It'd need to be something that will be made…

Published again....

When Larry first started building knives, he had little dreams.  First was getting good enough people wanted to buy his knives now he stays behind.  Next he wanted to be able to set up at Blade and now he has a whole booth.  Then he wanted to be published in Blade Magazine and he has... 3 times. Now he has been published in Knives Illustrated, Tactical Knives and NOW Knives Illustrated Buyer's Guide 2014.  Over this journey he has became a voting member of The Knifemaker's Guild in 2010.  He…

New to forum-What would you like to see first??

 Hello all.

As I said before, I'm new to this forum but not new to knives. I have a collection of Case knives, mainly

trappers and mini trappers, mainly vintage and short runs. I Also have many Case Classic prototypes

(trappers, mini trappers, and clasps),and limited editions. I realise Case Classics are a dirty word to some.

I also have a few vintage straight blades( WW2 and earlier) and a few of my own knife creations. Problem

is, my old computer crashed…

SMKW comes through

I ordered a bunch of knives on the next to the last Friday night Knives Live show along with 2 ladder knife stands for my grandson. One large & one small. The following Friday I hadn't received my order which is odd. I called and they said the order hadn't shipped. They said the large stand was no longer available which delayed the shipment since they just found out. They said they'd ship it Monday (today). I came home from work today to find a large box had been delivered. I opened it…

Indoctrination or Smart business?

Hey Folks,  I got something I'd like to share with you today, the pictures you see are of a text book that was used in the schools in the Village of Camillus New York, this book was printed by Columbia University Press in 1944, so all the students in that area were taught about the major employer of the area, Camillus Cutlery. How would this effect the work ethic of our…

Todays stop was the FL. Knifemakers show , some nice knives!!

As usual a show involving the Gators Cutlery Club was a hit.  The Knifemakers show brings in some real talent and some of the nicest folks you would ever hope to meet.

One of the things I like about this show is that it has something for everyone.  There are the customs, the high dollar customs, the manufactured and even some english beauties.

A knife maker that always make me smile when I see him at a show?  Mr. Russell McNabb.  A man whose knives are created…

Here is an updated price list for the website.  These are not written in stone.  Larry likes to talk to someone when they get one of his knives because he wants to make sure they know what they are getting  So many materials look alike.

Next??

What's next?  Maybe the very very rare "Teenage Girl's" switchblade. with the actual marketing material.  The knife was actually marketed to teenage girls and the blade was etched to make it feel personal.

Can you imagine that today?  marketing switchblades to specific sets of teenagers??
